Did you know...

1) The Egyptian pharaoh, Tutankahmun's bed was crafted from gold!

2) The Japanese do not commonly sleep in beds! They sleep on a rolled out matt called a 'tatami'. (unfortunately not available on our website!)

3) Berkeley Castle, England is home to the oldest bed in the UK! It is thought to have been slept in by over 15 generations since it was made in 1603.

4) Sofas are very sturdy things. An average sofa can withstand your children’s jumping up and down for 587 times. (Do not try this at home!)

5) The first mattresses were made from vegetables! More specifically, the pods that cover peas. They have changed a bit over time with some of our Fenton and Farleigh mattresses now featuring Cotton, Silk, Cashmere and Lambs Wool. Certainly a more comfortable option!
