What is garden furniture?
Garden furniture is anything built to live outdoors: dining sets, lounge and corner sofa sets, folding sets for a balcony, and individual chairs. The difference between a garden you look at and one you sit in is somewhere comfortable to sit and something to put a drink on.
Good outdoor furniture should give you more time in the garden, not more to do. This range is built around that: easy to care for, able to cope with British weather, and no treating every spring.
Sets for the space you actually have
On a balcony or small courtyard, the Foldaway 2 Chair Space Saving Garden Set folds flat for storage, and the Willow 3 Piece Garden Furniture Set gives you two rattan armchairs and a glass-topped table. With more room, the Cedar 4 Piece Garden Furniture Set seats four in black rattan. For an outdoor living room, the Hadley Dark Grey 5 Piece Rattan Set with Rising Table pairs a corner sofa, bench and stools with a table that lifts to dining height, and the Hadley 5 Piece Garden Set with Firepit swaps that for a firepit. Where you need just one more seat, the Marbella Black Rocking Garden Chair works on its own.
Materials and what they ask of you
Nearly everything here is PE rattan woven over a powder-coated metal frame, with fabric cushions and, on some sets, a black glass top. That is deliberate: PE rattan handles rain and sun without oiling, metal frames resist rust, and the weave wipes clean. This is the low-maintenance end of outdoor furniture, not the annual-sanding end.
Getting it through the winter
Frames can stay outside under a decent cover. Cushions should not: bring them into a shed or garage, because damp does more damage than cold. Let everything dry before you cover it, and protect glass tops from hard frosts. Half an hour in October buys several extra summers.
Delivery and assembly
Several sets are in stock for next working day delivery when you order before 12pm, with free delivery on thousands of products; others run to 3 to 5 working days or show a pre-order date, as garden stock moves with the season. Most sets need some self assembly, and our assembly service can be added on the product page.

Garden furniture FAQs
What is the best garden furniture for the UK climate?
PE rattan on a powder-coated metal frame copes with British weather better than most things, which is why it makes up most of this range. It shrugs off rain, does not fade quickly and needs no oiling. Bring the cushions in over winter and cover the frame.
Can I leave garden furniture outside all year round?
The frames, yes, ideally under a cover. Fabric cushions should come into a shed or garage over winter, because it is damp rather than cold that ruins them. Glass tops are best covered if you get hard frosts.
How do I clean garden furniture?
Warm soapy water and a soft brush handles PE rattan and metal frames, working into the weave where dirt collects. Rinse and dry fully before covering. Cushion covers are often removable, so check the label. Avoid pressure washers and harsh chemicals.
What size garden furniture do I need for my space?
Measure the patio or decking first, then allow roughly 60cm behind each dining chair so people can get in and out. If in doubt go smaller: it is easier to add a chair than to live with a set you edge around. Dimensions are on each product page.
Do I have to assemble garden furniture myself?
Most sets need some self assembly, though several are minimal, with legs or backs to attach rather than a full build. Each product page says which. If you would rather not, our assembly service from our partner Screwdriver can be added there.
How long does delivery take on garden furniture?
Several sets are in stock for next working day delivery when you order before 12pm, others run to 3 to 5 working days. Garden stock moves seasonally, so some pieces show a pre-order date instead. The expected date is on every product page.
Can I spread the cost?
Flexible finance and buy now pay later options are available at checkout, subject to status. The plans appear on the product page and again at checkout, which helps on a larger lounge set for spring.
