What is a ready assembled chest of drawers?
A ready assembled chest of drawers arrives fully built. The carcass is together, the drawers are in and running, and the handles and legs are fitted, so there is nothing to do beyond taking the packaging off and deciding where it goes. It is the same furniture you would buy flat-pack, without the evening on the bedroom floor with an Allen key.
That matters more on a chest than on most things: drawers are the part of flat-pack people most often get slightly wrong, and a runner a few millimetres out will catch every time you open it. Almost everything here is Welcome Furniture or Heritage Designs.
How many drawers do you need?
Three drawers suits a box room, a guest room or a child's bedroom. Four is where most main bedrooms land, and deep designs such as the Milan 4 Drawer Deep Chest take jumpers and spare bedding. Five and six drawer chests are for when one chest does the work of a wardrobe, and wide midi designs like the Contrast 6 Drawer Midi Chest give you a dresser top as well. If floor space is the constraint, a narrow tallboy gives you five drawers in the width of a bedside table.
Finishes, colours and ranges
White and grey account for most of the range, in matt and in gloss. Oak, light wood, Kashmir, black, walnut and cream fill out the rest, with pink, indigo, duck egg and reed green across a few ranges.
Camden and Knightsbridge are the gloss-fronted ranges, Crystal and Pembroke have a softer ash look, and Pixel sits on Scandinavian legs. Buying within one range is the simplest way to end up with a chest, a bedside and a wardrobe that genuinely match.
Delivery and what happens on the day
Assembled chests are bulkier than flat-pack boxes, so most of this range runs to a 7 to 14 working day lead time rather than next day. The expected date sits on each product page and you can choose your delivery date at checkout. The standard one man service delivers to your first accessible door between 7am and 7pm; larger, heavier items go to the room of your choice with a two man team. Free delivery applies to thousands of products.

Ready assembled chest of drawers FAQs
Do I need to build anything when it arrives?
No. The chest comes out of the packaging fully built, with the drawers already fitted and the legs and handles on. Move it into position, take the wrap off and it is ready to fill.
How long does delivery take?
Most chests in this range show a lead time of 7 to 14 working days, because they are built to order rather than picked off a shelf. The expected date is shown on the product page before you buy, and you can choose a delivery date that suits you at checkout.
Will the driver bring it upstairs?
That depends on the service the item ships with. The standard one man service delivers to your first accessible door between 7am and 7pm and does not come inside. Larger, heavier pieces travel with a two man team who take them to the room of your choice.
What if it does not fit or I change my mind?
Returns are accepted on the majority of products within 30 days. Tell us by email within 14 days of delivery, keep the chest in its original packaging and get it back within 30 days. You can return it yourself or ask us to quote for an insured collection.
How do I work out what size to buy?
Measure the space first, allowing for the drawers pulling out as well as the footprint of the chest. Check whether a door, a radiator or the bed sits in the way when a drawer is fully open. Width, height and depth are on every product page.
What are these chests made from?
Most of the range is MDF with a painted, matt or gloss finish, which keeps assembled furniture affordable and light enough for two people to move. A smaller number of solid wood pieces sit alongside them. Wipe the fronts with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Flexible finance and buy now pay later options are available at checkout, subject to status. Product pages show an indicative monthly figure, so you can see what a chest works out at before you reach the basket.
