Rattan Beds & Rattan Bed Frames

What Makes a Rattan Bed Frame Different?

A rattan bed frame pairs a wooden or wood-effect frame with rattan detailing, most often in the headboard. The rattan adds texture and a lighter feel than a plain wooden bed, which suits relaxed, coastal, Scandi and bohemian bedrooms.

The Margot Bed Frame pairs a curved headboard with rattan detailing and an oak effect or black frame. The Fleur High Foot End Bed Frame adds a high foot end for a more enclosed, traditional feel, while the Croxley Bed Frame comes in black, oak or white with rattan for a simpler, modern style.

Choosing the Right Size and Style

Every rattan bed in this range comes in 4ft 6 double and 5ft king size, and the Margot is also available as a 6ft super king, so the main choice is style and storage. For extra storage without adding more furniture, the Padstow Ottoman Storage Bed Frame lifts to reveal space for bedding and out-of-season clothes, and the Padstow Bed Frame gives the same look without the lift.

Black frames with rattan feel striking and modern, while oak tones keep the room warm and natural. To build a full room, pair your bed with a rattan chest of drawers such as the Manila Rattan 3+2 Drawer Chest of Drawers or the Willow Rattan 7 Drawer Chest of Drawers, then add rattan bedside tables and rattan wardrobes, or browse all our rattan bedroom furniture.

How do I look after a rattan bed?

Dust the rattan areas regularly with a soft brush or dry cloth so dirt does not settle into the texture, and wipe the frame with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Keep the bed away from radiators and direct heat, and follow any care guidance supplied with it.
