Solid Wood Wardrobes

What counts as a solid wood wardrobe?

A solid wood wardrobe is made mainly from solid timber, such as oak or pine, rather than wood effect board. Some designs pair a solid wood frame with plywood panels for the back or base. The materials for each wardrobe are listed on its product page.

Is solid oak or solid pine better for a wardrobe?

Both are hard-wearing. The choice is mostly about looks: oak has a bold grain and a warmer tone, while pine is lighter and suits country and cottage styles. Our Woburn and Huron ranges are solid oak, and Corona and Verde are pine.

Why does my wardrobe look slightly different from the photo?

Real wood has natural variations in grain, knots and colour, so every piece is slightly different. This is part of the character of solid wood rather than a fault.

How do I care for a solid wood wardrobe?

Dust with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe up any spills straight away. Avoid placing it right next to a radiator or in strong direct sunlight, as heat and moisture can affect real wood over time.

How is a wardrobe delivered?

Delivery is free on thousands of products, and the expected date is shown on each product page. Items with the 2 man delivery badge are brought to the room of your choice by a two-person team, while other items are delivered to your first accessible door.

Can I spread the cost of a solid wood wardrobe?

Flexible finance and buy now pay later options are available at checkout, subject to status. Each product card shows a monthly price, so you can compare options before you buy.
